The play reunites him with Newsroom creator Aaron Sorkin, who adapted Harper Lee’s novel. During the mid-1970s through to the early 1990s, Daniels starred in several New York productions, on and off Broadway. On Broadway, he has appeared in Lanford Wilson's Fifth of July (1980) alongside William Hurt, for which Daniels was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Best Supporting Actor. He also starred in A.
